We’re are eager to open our doors again post lockdown life. This week we spoke to Kieren about what he is most looking forward to once we reopen. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel now, and it won’t be long until you can come and enjoy a freshly poured pint of Love Lane with us.

We want people to know a little about the team so tell us a little bit about yourself?

I grew up in Liverpool before we moved over to the wirral, then on to Wales. I moved away from home to Somerset and got into hospitality work at 17 and fell in love with it. I’m a gamer, major marvel geek and love to have a few pints out with my mates.

What’s your favourite Love Lane beer and why?

My favourite used to be the DDH, but since the Baltic Double Haze dropped it most definitely took the number one spot. Double IPAs are my kind of thing, the flavours just burst and it tastes like juice…just a very strong juice.

Why did you come to work at Love Lane?

I have loved Love Lane beer since it was Liverpool Craft Co. As soon as I got the opportunity to be part of such an amazing company I had to jump at the chance.

Why do you think people love coming to eat and drink in the brewery?

I think Love Lane is well known as so many places sell at least one of our beers. Whether it’s the lager/pale or one from our amazing hazy range. Coming to where it is all made and being able to see though the window into the brewery whilst sipping on one of the beers is a selling point in itself. On top of that, you add in the amazing food Ali makes in the kitchen and the amazing staff who do everything they can to make you feel welcome. I think people love coming to Love Lane because it is not just a restaurant and bar, it’s an experience.

What are you most looking forward to when we reopen?

I’m most looking forward to being able to talk beer all day. Talking about the story behind Love Lane and being able to show the passion we all have for what we do here!
